VASCO: A truck cabin was completely gutted in a fire early Friday morning at Shantinagar. The incident occurred shortly after the truck owner had parked the vehicle in the area around 5:30 a.m. The owner reported seeing smoke, which soon intensified into flames.
The Vasco fire station promptly responded to the scene and managed to extinguish the blaze before it could spread further. However, significant damage was already done, with the truck’s cabin being destroyed. Preliminary investigations suggest that a short circuit may have been the cause of the fire.
The estimated losses amount to around ₹3 lakh, according to the owner. Authorities are conducting further investigations to confirm the cause of the fire.
