PANAJI: The leader of the Opposition, Digambar Kamat, today said that Public Accounts Committee report has never existed and it is a complete fraud on the part of the legislature and that his party, after forming the state government, will conduct an investigation into the matter.
Kamat also so-called Rs.35000 crores mining scam nothing but a fraud act of BJP.
“Public Accounts Committee report has never existed, and it is a complete fraud on the part of the legislature and that his party, after forming the state government, will conduct an investigation into the matter. I had put up an RTI in this matter.
Those people who have created fraud on legislature should be punished as the legislature is considered a temple of democracy.
Kamat said that he took to Social Media to throw the Challenge before Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and urged him to respond to Congress President Girish Chodankars demand to place in the public domain the PAC report, which was referred by then Leader of Opposition Manohar Parrikar to level the serious charge of mining scam on Congress Government in 2012.
“Today, I place before the public the documentary evidence to prove my point that the said Public Accounts Committee report never existed. The so-called Rs.35000 crores mining scam nothing but a fraud act of BJP charged Digambar Kamat,” he added.
Kamat also said that “I am a God-fearing person, and I always believe truth always prevails. I hope at least now, BJP will place some facts and figures before the Goans,” he added.
During the 2012 Goa assembly elections, the BJP had accused Kamat of being involved in a multi-crore scam. The Supreme Court-appointed M B Shah Commission had also indicted him.
