Calangute: Police have registered an offence in connection with a theft of ₹7.35 lakh reported from a restaurant in Baga. The case was registered on February 19, 2026 at 12.57 hrs based on a written complaint filed by Keshu Nathabhai Agath, a resident of Shivalik Avenue, Bodakdev, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred on January 18, 2026 at around 12.30 hrs at Krishna Kathiyavadi Kitchen, Baga. The complainant stated that while he had briefly gone to wash his hands, the accused allegedly took advantage of his absence and decamped with his bag containing cash amounting to ₹7,35,000.
Police have identified the accused as Pralhad Chandrakant Parab, a resident of Sundar Nagari, Lala Nigam Road, Colaba Market, Colaba, Mumbai, Maharashtra. After allegedly stealing the cash, the accused fled from the spot.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
