PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that Almost ten states have come to Goa to observe and learn from Swayampurna Goa model, which is evidence of our creative approach to empowerment and self-sufficiency.
“The nation has taken notice of Goa’s innovative Swayampurna Goa initiative, which is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious Atmanirbhar Bharat program,” said Sawant
He further said that almost ten states have come to Goa to observe and learn from our model, which is evidence of our creative approach to empowerment and self-sufficiency.
Sawant also said that his government has launched a groundbreaking Apprenticeship Training Program with a heavy focus on work culture in order to empower the young of Goa.
“Young individuals can enroll in this program for a year, gain valuable professional experience, and, upon completion, receive a diploma. This certificate puts students in a strong position for future job success by increasing their chances of getting hired by the government or a corporation,” CM said
CM said that through the Lakhpati Didi scheme, a flagship initiative of the central department of Rural Development, two Goan women have gained the ability to become financially independent.
“In addition, our government was the first to implement the national apprenticeship program, which the central government later embraced. Our young people now have the opportunity to obtain a government-issued experience certificate and a job thanks to this creative initiative,” Sawant said
