MARGAO: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant Chaired a review meeting on the progress of the SGPDA Wholesale Fish Market Project in Margao, attended by MLA Digambar Kamat and SGPDA Chairman Daji Salkar, Director of Fisheries, SGPDA members, and other stakeholders.

The Rs. 38-crore project, funded with 60% contributions from the Union Government and 40% from the State Government, comprises three blocks. Block A, designated for cold storage, is nearing completion, while Blocks B and C, intended for offices and other facilities, are set to be inaugurated on 26th January 2025.

Directed officials to ensure the project meets the criteria established by the Union Government.

The meeting also focused on expediting the completion of the cold storage and overall infrastructure development.
