PANAJI: In what could be termed a major achievement for Goa’s health sector, the 108 ambulance staff successfully conducted an emergency delivery of a pregnant lady at Mollem.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane took to “X”, formerly Twitter to congratulate the team.
“A remarkable testament to our dedicated healthcare team. On the 17th of Sept 2023, at 7:49 PM, Mollem ambulance, responding to an emergency pregnancy case, rushed into action. Within moments, Paramedic Pundalik Sutar’s expertise shone as he assisted in the delivery of a healthy baby girl near Bharkatte Mollem,” said Rane.
The Health Minister said both mother and baby are now safe and sound, and admitted to PONDA SDH.
“This incredible response showcases the efficiency and dedication of our healthcare professionals. I applaud the team’s swift action and commitment to making the Goa Model the best in healthcare. Together, we’re ensuring the well-being of our people,” he said.
