Panaji: Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL) has announced two special pilgrimage trips from Goa to the holy shrine of Velankanni in Tamil Nadu. The trips, aimed at providing a comfortable travel option for devotees, will be operated using brand new air-conditioned sleeper buses with a 2+1 seating configuration.
The first trip, scheduled for the Maddi observance, will depart from Goa on August 27, 2025, while the second trip, planned for the annual feast at Velankanni, will leave on September 5, 2025. Buses will depart from Mapusa at 8:30 a.m., Panaji at 9:00 a.m., Margao at 10:00 a.m., and Ponda at 10:30 a.m. The fare for the round trip has been fixed at ₹6,000, inclusive of GST. However, food and accommodation are not included in the fare.
KTCL has made ticket bookings available at its booking counters located at KTC bus stands across Goa.
