The Corporation of City of Panaji has fined 15 tourists for not wearing face masks.
CCP Mayor Uday Madkaikar said that as per State SOPs wearing of masks is mandatory.
“There were several tourists near Panjim church not wearing masks,” he said.
He stated that the CCP drive will continue as there is huge spike in COVID19 cases in the capital city.
The fine for not wearing masks is ₹ 100.
After five months of lockdown, Goa has seen huge influx of tourists this weekend after the State relaxed entry SOPs following Centre’s directive.
