PORVORIM: Even as the residents of coastal areas are up in arms over the massage parlours doubling up as prostitution joints, the Goa Police have conducted just 17 raids and nine arrests in the matter, teh Goa Assembly was told.
The Minister for Hoem, Dr Pramod Sawant, said that 17 raids have been conducted since 2019 and nine people were arrested from illegal massage parlours.
“Out of 17 raids conducted on spa/ massage parlours, 12 spa/ massage parlours were found operating without sufficient required documentation. No person was arrested,” Sawant informer
Further, he said, however, reports were submitted to the concerned District Magistrate for appropriate action under the law. Further, in the remaining 05 raids
