CANACONA: A total of 180 individuals, including 150 children, were screened during a Speech Therapy and Hearing Outreach Camp held in Canacona on Monday.
According to the Lions Club of Canacona, the camp benefited 70 special children from Lokvishwas Pratishthan Special School and 20 of their staff members, as well as 80 students from Mataji Mandir Boys Hostel and 10 staff members.
The camp, organised by the Lions Club of Canacona, was conducted at Lokvishwas Pratishthan School for Special Children, Devabagh, Canacona. A team of doctors from Bangalore Speech and Hearing Trust participated in the outreach as part of the Mobile Speech and Hearing Unit.
The initiative aimed to identify and support children with speech and hearing difficulties through early detection and therapeutic guidance.
