NAVELIM: Margao police were informed that a person had allegedly dead at Dongorim, Navelim. During enquiry, police visited the spot and found that Vikash Kumar Shakya (19), a native of Madhya Pradesh and presently residing at Dongorim, Navelim, had allegedly ended his life by hanging.
Police said the deceased was found hanging in a rented room, tied to a wooden rafter using a dupatta as ligature material.
The police conducted the scene of UD occurrence panchanama and inquest panchanama over the body. The deceased was then shifted to South District Hospital, Margao, for preservation and further medico-legal formalities.
Further enquiry is being carried out by PSI Sanjay Velip of Margao Town Police Station.
