A 19 year old youth from Guirim was killed in a road accident after a speeding truck, coming from a opposite direction hit the bike he was riding.
Deceased Yash Mandrekar was declared dead at the hospital while the pillon rider Utkarsh Bagri sustained minor injuries.
As per police statement, the accident occured on June 6 at around 6.10pm near Picnic hotel, chogm road, Sangolda slope.
The body was sent to post mortem examination and thereafter it was handed over to the relatives.
Saligao police have registered an offence against the truck driver Swaran Singh from Gurudaspur, Punjab for an offence u/s 279, 337, 304-A IPC.
