PANJIM: The COVID-19 death toll continued on Thursday with the State recording two deaths taking the total tally to 66. Also, 191 fresh cases were reported for the day along with 166 patients getting recovered.
The capital city for the day reported a total 4 people testing positive for the virus, which included one from Caranzalem, one from St Inez Bandh, another one from Bhatlem and one a local from Mala. Reports of more tests from the affected areas are awaited
The Panjim public health centre has so far reported 78 positive cases.
As per bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), a 67- year old male from Vasco admitted at ESI COVID hospital with co-morbid condition expired today; while another 73 year old male from Vasco, expired.
Of the total 3376 samples tested on Thursday , 191 are declared positive while 1946 samples were negative. Results of 1239 reports are awaited.
Also, with 166 recoveries, the total tally of active cases stood at 2095. The total confirmed cases are 7614
Further, 69 suspects are admitted in the isolation ward of the hospital.
Another 46 people are placed under facility quarantine.
