CANACONA: The 1st All Goa Yuva Kalakar Bhajan Spardha was organized by Yuva Samruddhi Manch, Canacona, at Ravindra Bhavan, marking a significant step towards promoting devotional music among the youth of the state.
The first-of-its-kind Bhajan Spardha was inaugurated by Minister for Art & Culture Ramesh Tawadkar, who also unveiled the trophies for the competition in the presence of dignitaries and members of the organizing committee.
Addressing the gathering, Tawadkar appreciated the efforts of Yuva Samruddhi Manch for creating a platform to nurture devotional art and inspire young artists in Canacona. He lauded the initiative for encouraging the younger generation to stay connected with Goa’s rich cultural and spiritual traditions.
The event aimed to promote devotional music, preserve cultural heritage, and encourage emerging talent from across Goa. The competition saw enthusiastic participation from various groups representing different parts of the state and was conducted in a spiritually vibrant atmosphere.
Among those present were newly appointed Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) Treasurer and Shristhal Biodiversity Management Committee (BMC) Chairman Vinay Tubki, Sarpanch of VP Poinguinim and Headmistress of Shree Balram Residential High School, Amone, Smt. Savita Tawadkar, along with committee members of Yuva Samruddhi Manch.
The programme concluded successfully, drawing appreciation from attendees and participants alike.
