CANACONA: A two and a half metre long Python got entangled to a Net set-up at a wooden fencing to protect the Paddy fields from animal attacks in Agonda.
It was around 9.00 in the morning that the farmer Savio Fernandes on a trip to oversee his Paddy Fields noticed something almost as head of a animal is struggling to free itself from a Net he has spread across the wooden fencing to avoid certain animals from entering the Paddy Fields. Certain Wildlife is often attracted to specific crops particularly Rice Cultivation at its ripening stage.
On closer examination, the farmer was surprised to see its huge Snake, a Python trying valiantly to free itself from the Net. The more it tries to free itself, the more it was getting entangled.
Savio dialled a forest (wildlife) number and informed them about the huge snake struggling to free itself in his Paddy Fields Fence. Soon, the forest rescuers came and freed the Python, and took it away.
The python reportedly suffering some injuries amidst its valiant tries to free from the Net, is however, declared safe even as the forest rescuers took it away only to be released in some parts of Forests, informed the source.
