PORVORIM: A 20-year-old woman was found dead by suicide at her residence in Alto Torda, Porvorim, on Wednesday morning.
According to Porvorim Police, a call was received from the Panjim Police Control Room at around 9:35 a.m. on October 15, 2025, informing that a woman had hanged herself at her residence near Ramvadeshwar Mandir, Alto Torda.
Police team led by PSI Sachin Shirodkar visited the spot and found the woman hanging from a metal rafter. She was identified as Radha BK, 20, a native of Nepal, residing in Porvorim.
Preliminary inquiry revealed that the deceased was in a live-in relationship with Dipak Kami, also a native of Nepal. The two reportedly had an argument on October 14 over a family matter after Dipak had sent money to his parents in Nepal. Later that night, they went to sleep in their rented room.
In the morning, at around 6:30 a.m., Dipak reportedly found Radha hanging from an iron rafter with a white dupatta. Police said no foul play is suspected at this stage.
A panchanama of the scene was conducted, and the body has been sent to GMC Morgue, Bambolim, for preservation and postmortem examination. Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Sachin A. Shirodkar of Porvorim Police Station.
