PANAJI: The High Court of Bombay at Goa today issued notice to the State government in a petition challenging the government’s decision to cancel the recruitments in PWD done in 2021.
The next hearing has been kept for August 28.
Recruitments were undertaken to fill up almost 368 vacancies of junior engineers and technical assistants.
However, the recruitment was marred by controversy following issues raised by some of the candidates.
The opposition had alleged Rs 70 cr scam in the recruitment process.
In 2023, the government cancelled all the recruitment and decided to conduct a fresh examination.
