New Delhi: The year 2026 promises to be one of the most memorable periods in sporting history, with several of the world’s biggest tournaments unfolding within a single calendar year. From football’s grandest spectacle to multi sport continental events and global cricket championships, fans across the world will have little respite from top tier action.
The sporting calendar begins with the Winter Olympics, scheduled from February 6 to 22 in Italy. The Milano Cortina Games will bring together more than 3,500 athletes from over 90 nations, competing across a wide range of winter disciplines. Multi sport events will further elevate 2026’s stature. The Commonwealth Games will be held in Scotland from July 23 to August 2, while Japan will host the Asian Games from September 19 to October 4, welcoming nearly 10,000 athletes from across Asia.
