PANAJI: The Maina-Curtorim police have arrested a 21-year-old youth, a resident of St Jose Areal, for allegedly raping a 16-year-old school student from a village in Salcete.
The accused was working in a private firm.
The victim’s parents lodged a complaint with the police late Thursday night, and Lady Police Sub-Inspector Veronica Coutinho conducted the investigation.
The police have registered the offence against the accused
