PANAJI: The Panaji Police have registered an Unnatural Death (U.D.) case No. 84/2025 under Section 194 of the BNSS, after a 22-year-old woman was found lying unconscious near the Bombay Line bus stand, Panaji, late on Tuesday night and was later declared dead at the Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim.
According to police, the Panaji Police Control Room (PCR) received a call around 12:42 am on October 8, 2025, informing that a woman was lying motionless near the bus stand. A police team immediately rushed to the spot, where they found the woman unresponsive. She was shifted to GMC by 108 EMRI services, where doctors declared her brought dead.
The deceased was later identified by her friend, Taramani (daughter of Ramnandan), as Pramila (daughter of Dalaveer Say), aged 22 years, a resident of School Para, Village Lalati, Post Sedam, Lalati, Surguja District, Chhattisgarh.
Police said no foul play is suspected in the incident. The Casualty Department at GMC Bambolim also confirmed the information via wireless message No. 8873/25 dated 07/10/2025, stating that patient Pramila, bearing MLC No. 25/8831, was brought dead from Panaji Bombay Line bus stand.
The body has been preserved for post-mortem examination, and further enquiry is being carried out by PSI Nitin Naik of Panaji Police Station.
