Panaji: The State Government has constituted a 23 member committee under chairmanahip of former South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar – “Sugarcane Farmers Facilitation Committee” for Sanjivini Sahakari Sakhar Katkhana.
Prasad Gaonkar, MLA, Vasudev Meng Gaonkar, Subhash Phal Desai, Ramesh Tawadkar, Satish Tendulkar, Rajendra Desai, Harshad S. P. Desai, are amongst the members.
The order issued by Director Agriculture says the committee shall recommend appropriate measures to resolve the hardship faced by the sugarcane farmers.
This Committee shall report to State Level Committee.
