AGACAIM: Police have registered a kidnapping case after a 25-year-old man was allegedly abducted near the New Zuari Bridge in Agacaim.
According to a complaint filed by Usha Rao, a resident of Shantinagar, Vasco, the incident occurred between the night of December 27 and 9:00 am of December 28, 2025. Her son, Abhay Rao, was allegedly taken away by the accused without her knowledge and kept in wrongful confinement.
The accused have been identified as Raja Gupta, Kajal Gupta, Vishal Navik—all residents of Verna—and Anand, a resident of Colva.
Based on the complaint, Agacaim Police have registered Crime No. 14/2026 under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, including provisions related to abduction and common intention.
Police stated that the victim was wrongfully taken and kept at an undisclosed location. Further investigation is underway under PSI Shubham Korgaonkar of Agacaim Police Station to trace the sequence of events and take necessary action against the accused.
