PORVORIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that the number of vacancies expected to be filled across various state government departments till March 2024 is 2572.
“The number of vacancies expected to be filled till March 2024 is 2572 Nos. Government has started the process of recruitment to replace retiring staff,” said CM Sawant.
He further said that the total number of Government servants employed permanently is 20546 Nos.
“A total number of Government servants employed on a Temporary basis are 1995 Nos,” he added.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that the government has decided to make a minimum of one year of experience in the private sector mandatory while applying for government jobs.
The chief minister said that now direct jobs would not be given.
“There are incidents where before passing out graduation, many applied for accounts and other posts; even the same trend was with the PSI posts. Henceforth this will not happen; for a government job, at least one year of experience in the private sector will be needed,” Sawant said.
Sawant has said that the Goa government, on the one hand, is creating infrastructure and, on the other hand, has also planned to create human resources.
“We are thinking about how private and government can use this talent of human resource created,” Sawant said.
