MAINA CURTORIM: The Maina Curtorim police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against a 26-year-old man for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl. The accused reportedly committed the crime under the pretext of marriage.
According to police sources, the case was filed under the relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The victim, a minor, was allegedly lured by the accused with a false promise of a future together before the assault took place.
