CURCHOREM: A 28-year-old man from Baagwada, Curchorem, was found dead by hanging in his bedroom on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, information was received at 1:37 pm on October 8, 2025, from Dheeraj Naik, stating that his brother, Pankaj Naik, had committed suicide by hanging at their residence.
Upon receiving the report, police visited the scene, where Dheeraj Naik identified the body of the deceased as that of his brother, Pankaj Naik (28). A scene panchanama and inquest panchanama were conducted, and the body was shifted to the District Hospital, Margao, for preservation and to carry out medico-legal procedures, including post-mortem examination.
Police have not found any foul play in the preliminary enquiry. Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Prajyot Bakhale of Curchorem Police Station.
