VERNA: Verna Police have arrested three individuals for allegedly running an illegal online roulette gambling operation in Nagoa, Pirni.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided the area behind Aley Chicken Centre, where the suspects were caught red-handed using tablets to facilitate the gambling activity. During the raid, officers seized three tabs and Rs 6,500 in cash from the accused. The total value of the seized items is estimated at Rs 66,500.
A case has been registered under Sections 3 and 4 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act (GDDPG Act). Police have not yet released the names of the accused as investigations continue.
Verna Police stated that further inquiries are in progress to determine the extent of the operation and any potential links to larger gambling networks.
