PANAJI: Three rental automobiles that were running illegally close to a Dhargal gas pump were seized by Pernem Traffic Police.
The authorities was reportedly notified by local taxi companies that they were losing revenue as a result of rent-a-cabs operating illegally at Mopa’s international airport. Rent-a-cars were dispersed from Mopa airport in response to these concerns.
Local taxi drivers, however, have now asserted that rent-a-cars are being supplied to customers in Dhargal at a station close to a gas pump.
The Pernem Police Traffic Cell was then notified of the situation by local taxi drivers. Three rental automobiles were seized by a police team on the scene and transported to the Pernem police station.
According to the taxi drivers, low-cost rental automobiles are available at the Dhargal gas pump, in public areas, and close to lodging facilities.
