SALIGAO: Tragically, a three-year-old child is said to have drowned in a swimming pool at Saligao.
The three-year-old child drowned after unintentionally falling into a swimming pool at a guest house in Grande Morod, Saligao.
When the incident happened, the boy, who was on holiday with his father from Maharashtra, was strolling by the pool.
The curious toddler ventured too near the pool and fell into the water while the father was momentarily distracted by a mobile phone call, the police said.
After being saved right away, the boy was sent to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Candolim, where he was pronounced dead.
