MAPUSA: A 38-year-old man from Parra, Bardez, died after reportedly falling from the first-floor balcony of a house at Bhatiwada, Parra.
The District Hospital, Mapusa, informed the police at 1:12 pm that Shivanand Jana, originally from Odisha and residing in Parra, was brought dead to the casualty ward following the incident.
Mapusa Police have registered an Unnatural Death (UD) case No. 78/2025 under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) 2023.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to the fall.
