PANAJI: Panaji Police has registered FIR against a Kolhapur-based logistics firm and two individuals for selling 39,206 metric tonnes of iron worth Rs 17 crore.
As per information, FIR has been registered against a Kolhapur-based logistics firm and two individuals, Abdulkalam Jamadar and Kashinath Shinde.
The police said that 39,206 metric tonnes of iron Premanand, worth Rs. 17 crores, were without the knowledge of Vinit Wakhare, proprietor of Goa Metallic.
The information states that the ore was stored at Capxem jetty.
Supreme Court had permitted the Goa government to carry out mine dumping activities in the state on the condition that the government adheres to the recommendations of a six-member expert committee in this connection.
