CANACONA: Four people including a girl from Karwar were injured in a head-on collision between two 2-Wheelers at Madditolop-Loliem in Canacona.
According to sources, one of the 2-Wheelers coming from Canacona (Goa Registration) was heading towards Karwar, while another 2-Wheeler coming from Karwar (Karnataka Registration) was heading towards Canacona collided against each other when both riding on the straight highway (NH-66) road at Madditolop, Dapot-Maxem.
It is learnt through sources that one of the biker strayed on the other side crossing the middle of the road resulting in the head-on collision of the two scooters.
As the two riders and the two pillion riders were thrown off the both the colliding scooters, all the four suffered injuries in the mishap with two sustaining greivious injuries including the head injuries in the mishap.
The 2-wheeler coming from Karwar reportedly had a girl as pillion rider, while the scooter towards going toward Karwar had two Goan youths.
Anxiety grew amongst the locals who come at attend the injured scooterists as 108 ambulance was delayed for several minutes as the two seriously injured were grappling in pain and blood oozing out.
Finally, an Ambulance reached and moved all the four injured to the CHC, Canacona and providing first-aid later shifted the injured to South Goa District Hospital (SGDH), Margao for further medical attention.
