COLVALE: A 48-year-old construction worker was declared brought dead after collapsing at a worksite in Colvale.
Police said they received a phone call from PSI Prakash Ghadi informing them that the deceased, identified as Swapan Bala (48), son of Shashadhar Bala, originally from Sukanta Nagar, Dharamapur, Rabindranagar, Hooghly, West Bengal and residing at Volvonem, Thivim, Bardez, had been brought dead to the Primary Health Centre, Colvale.
During the enquiry, it was revealed that Bala was working at a construction site in Colvale when he suddenly began feeling uneasy, and his health deteriorated rapidly. Co-workers immediately rushed him to the PHC, where the attending doctor declared him brought dead.
Police are carrying out further formalities, and the cause of death will be established upon medical examination.
