Margao – Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat has promised five years of Unity, Availability, Accessibility, Honesty & Transparency to Citizens with an aim to make Margao an Ultra Modern City.
“With the blessings of God, we will continue to strive to achieve our goal to make this commercial capital of Goa an Ultra Modern City,” stated Kamat during the Manifesto release of Model Margao panel at Pimalkatta Margao.
He said he will ensure that Citizens Facilitation Centres are setup at Aquem and Sirvodem which will reduce the load on Municipal Administration Block and will also provide relief to Citizens.
“We will also initiate ” Prashna Tumche Jaap Amchi” monthly dialogues in every ward to listen and resolve public griviences. Margao Municipal Council will set an example to others by ensuring free accessibility to Persons with Disabilities and Senior Citizens,” he assured.
He said his panel needs support of Madganvkars to fulfil dream of making Margao a Model City of India.
“I appeal to all Madganvkars to extend their support and vote for Candidates fielded by Model Margao in eleven wards,” said Kamat.
Model Margao Candidate Sagun alias Dada Naik, Doris Teixeira, Sulaksha Jamuni, Manoj Masurkar, Dipali Sawal, Shivram alias Siddhant Gadekar, Ghanashyam Prabhu Shirodkar, Lata Pednekar, Sandra Joan Fernandes, Damodar Shirodkar, Damodar Varak were present during the Manifesto release.
Model Margao has focussed on modernisation of Margao Municipal Market, Demarcation of Parking Zones, ISO Certification of Margao Municipality, Tourist-Artist- Sports Friendly Margao besides various other promises.
“I will work towards the empowerment of Municiaplities in pursuance of the 74th Constitutional Amendment. I am very much confident of victory of all Candidates our Candidates with thumping margin. We will ensure that Margao is loved by all,” he says.
