MORMUGAO: In a tragic incident ,one Dyanesh Harmalkar (53 ), a resident of Sada was killed after being hit by a forklift operating for Delta Infralogistics Worldwide limited at Berth no 11 of Mormugao Port on Sunday night. Mormugao police have registered an offence against forklift driver Mohammed Furakan Khan, resident of Uttar Pradesh under sections 281,106 of BNS and section 134 (a) (b) of MV Act.
The accused driver drove the forklift in a rash and negligent manner while taking reverse and dashed the deceased pedestrian who suffered injuries on the shoulder and chest and succumbed to his injuries at Sub district hospital in Chicalim .
