CANACONA: 56 Blood units were collected in the Blood Donation Camp held in Canacona on Saturday.
Blood Donation Camp was organized by Sanghatit Canconkars in collaboration with Cankids India NGO and Goa Medical College & Hospital, Bambolim on Saturday at Disaster Management Shelter, Char-Rasta in Canacona.
’56 donors who came with smiles on their face returned with Smiles, after realizing their blood will help someone someday to save a life in danger. These 56 donors made this donation camp a memorable one’, stated Coordinator of Sanghatit Canconkars Amey Puranik.
Earlier , the blood donation camp was inaugurated in the presence of Narendra Savoikar (NRI Commissioner, Ex MP South Goa), Ramesh Gaonkar (Deputy Collector & SDM Canacona) and Chandrakant Gawas (Police Inspector, Canacona).
A number of donors including some prominent citizens made their presence including Dr. Diwakarji Velip, Councillor Shubham Komarpant, Nandip Bhagat, Pankaj Naikgaonkar, Sanju Pagi, Shirish Pai, Vallabh Dessai, amongst others.
