PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant informed that 561 Police Personnel were punished for dereliction of duties in the last 5 years
“561 Police Personnel were punished for dereliction of duties in the last 5 years i.e Major punishment 118 and Minor punishment 443,” said Sawant.
Sawant further said that whenever a cognizant complaint is made a FIR is registered. If the cognizance of any complaint is not taken or not taken in time the complainant can approach the Higher level Officer to redress his grievance.
“In case of an Accident the Enquiry Officer can conduct an enquiry for 72 hours and if enquiry reveals a cognizable case, a FIR is registered,” CM said.
CM also informed that one accident case/FIR was registered at Agassaim Police Station involving the death of rider Sanjana Sawant. However, no accident case is registered at Agacaim Police Station involving the death of Shawn Mendes.
