CANACONA: In a bizarre accident, 6 people including a minor were injured in a Car and an Inter-state Truck accident at Dapot (Loliem) on Friday-Saturday midnight.
As all the 6 injured (including a minor) were brought to Canacona Community Health Centre, Chaudi, and immediately thereafter including the one in serious condition were shifted to South Goa District Hospital (SGDH) Margao for further treatment.
Sources informed, one of the Car occupants was shifted in serious condition with heavy bleeding from the ear.
All the injured including a child were reportedly returning back towards Margao after attending a Wedding reception at Wedding hall in Loliem village in the ill-fated Car with Registration No. GA 03 AF 5373. The Car got badly damaged with its bonnet’s right-hand-side and the driver door got badly mangled in the mishap. It is learnt that one of the Tyres of the Inter-State NP truck with registration no. RJ 11 GC 6982 while proceeding towards Karwar collided with the ill-fated Car, at about 12.15 am b, the midnight time between Friday-Saturday.
The names of the car occupants are Jesus Almeida 22/m resident of Curtorim, Velonia Carvallo 36/f, Tefla Coutinho 25/f Panjim, Brylon Coutinho 23/m Sadolxem, and Tejal couthino 31/f Pomburba
