MARGAO: An 80-year-old man, Shrikishan Luhera, a resident of Davorlim, Navelim, was declared brought dead at the South Goa District Hospital (SGDH), Margao, on June 16, 2025.
As per police sources, the deceased had a history of multiple health issues, including diabetes, high blood pressure, tuberculosis, and a heart condition, and was undergoing medical treatment. He reportedly experienced uneasiness at home on the morning of June 16 and was rushed to SGDH in a 108 ambulance, where the attending medical officer declared him brought dead.
Following an inquest and post-mortem examination, the Police Surgeon certified the cause of death as “Myocardial infarction in a person with occlusive coronary artery disease and with features of TB lungs.”
The body was handed over to the family for final rites. Further investigation is being conducted by LPSI Sonal Gaunkar of Margao Town Police Station.
