PANAJI: Former Goa Congress President Girish Chodankar stated that reports indicate BJP National President J.P. Nadda has declined to attend a function to lay the foundation stone for the new BJP Headquarters in Goa. Chodankar attributed this decision to widespread corruption concerns in the state, which have reportedly reached the Union Government and Central Leadership.
Chodankar alleged that the Goa BJP Government, including the Chief Minister and ministers, are involved in large-scale corruption, which was exposed by the opposition during the last assembly session. He claimed that the people of Goa are losing confidence in the government due to corruption and large-scale land conversions.
Chodankar stated that Nadda’s decision reflects a loss of trust between the state and central BJP leadership, highlighting the government’s failure to provide clean governance. He reiterated that the Congress party will continue to raise awareness about corruption and support the people of Goa in their fight against it.
