ANJUNA: In a recent inspection drive, the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) evaluated 20 eateries in the Anjuna-Vagator area, resulting in the closure of nine businesses for failing to meet hygiene standards.
Four of these establishments were also found to be operating without the proper FDA license.
The closures included a well-known Rajasthani restaurant, a popular Goan food spot, and several cafes, all of which were found to have unsanitary conditions and violations of safety regulations during the inspections.
The FDA stressed that these actions are part of their ongoing efforts to safeguard public health and ensure food establishments comply with hygiene requirements.
The affected businesses must rectify the violations before they can reopen. The FDA also stated that they will continue conducting such inspections to ensure accountability in the food industry.
