PORVORIM: Minister for Water Resources Subhash Shirodkar informed the house that 90% of the Tillari Irrigation Project’s work is completed as of May 2022.
“The Project is 97% completed as of May 2022. Per the CWC norms, any project 90% completed shall be considered completed. Hence process to declare the Tillari Irrigation Project as of May 2022 is in progress,’ said Shirodkar.
He further stated that the Total command area under Tillari Irrigation Project is 14521 Ha, and the area covered under the canal System is 12020 Ha.
Shirodkar informed that the main works of the canal to supply water to Saligao and Calangute Constituency are completed.
“The CADA work is in progress and will be completed by March 2023,” he said.
