CANACONA : A few years old demand for a full-time Aadhaar card center in Canacona is finally a reality, with the opening of the Aadhar Card Registration and Renewal Center in the Taluka.
Giving information on the occasion, Directorate of Planning, Statistics and Evaluation (DPSE) Dy. Director Kum. Neumani M. Rodrigues informed that Canacona’s Aadhar Enrollment Center is the 8th Center, which is going to provide full time services and people should take full advantage of the services.
Speaking on the occasion , Rodrigues said , ‘Aadhaar card is also an important document and is closely related to national security. The services will be provided here for everyone right from newborn children to any Senior citizens. Every ten years Aadhaar card has to be renewed. Those whose Aadhaar card is 10 years old should renew it.’
Earlier, Speaker and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar cut the ribbon and lighted a traditional lamp to mark inauguration of the Aadhar Center, and expressed satisfaction that a few years’ demand for a regular Aadhar Card Center was finally fulfilled.
‘Government is continuously doing many things for Canacona, but still some problems persist. Rupees 93 crores are approved to solve water problems in Canacona, work on 4-lane NH66 is commencing in 6 months, in the next 10 years the problem of employment will be solved. In Spite of rightly pursuing health related problems, some people’s problems continue to persist’, Tawadkar speaking on the occasion of launch of Aadhar Card Center regretted.
On this occasion, CMC Chairperson Sara Shambha Naik Desai, Canacona Deputy Collector/SDO Madhu Narvekar, Mamlatdar Manoj Korgaonkar, Survey Department Officer Sagar Navelkar And Smt Panvelkar, Horticulture Corporation Board of Director Diwakar Pagi were present on the platform.
Poinguinim VP Sarpanch Savita Tawadkar, Shristhal VP Sarpanch Sejal Gaonkar, Poinguinim Dy Sarpanch Sunil Paingankar, panch Satish Painginkar, Shristhal Panch Rajesh Velip, Shristhal BMC Chairman Vinay Tubki, were present amongst others.
