PANAJI: In a scathing attack AAP Goa leaders, lambasted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government and Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza for their blatant dereliction of duty, resulting in the deplorable state of Mapusa’s infrastructure and public services.
Sunil Signapurkar highlighted the BJP’s persistent neglect of critical infrastructure projects in Mapusa.
“Despite a ₹3 crore sanction over five years ago for the new Mapusa bus stand, the project remains incomplete and nonoperational, reflecting gross administrative inefficiency,” he said
Initiated by the late former MLA, the Mapusa fish market redevelopment has languished for years without completion, disrupting local commerce and hygiene
“Promised for completion by February 2025, the sewage network remains incomplete, with projections indicating at least another year before homes are connected. This delay has led to severe pollution of the Haran rivulet, heavily contaminated with fecal matter” Sunil said
Sunil said that the Aam Aadmi Party stands resolute in advocating for the residents of Mapusa, prioritizing their welfare over partisan politics. AAP demands immediate accountability and action from the BJP government to rectify the chronic issues afflicting Mapusa, ensuring a clean, safe, and functional environment for its citizens.
