PANAJI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday named senior Goa leader Valmiki Naik as one of its national spokespersons, marking a significant elevation for the party’s State unit.
The announcement was made in New Delhi by AAP’s General Secretary (Organisation) and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sandeep Pathak. Naik, currently serving as Vice President of AAP’s Goa unit, has been at the forefront of the party’s activities in the State, where AAP has been stepping up its organisational presence in recent months.
Naik has contested thrice from the Panaji assembly constituency — in the 2017 general election, the 2019 bypoll following the death of former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, and again in the 2022 elections.
