PANAJI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa has appointed taluka incharges across the state as part of its preparations for the upcoming Zilla Panchayat (ZP) elections, signalling its intent to take on the BJP with full force.
AAP Goa State President Amit Palekar said the move is aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots presence and raising local issues at the state level. “Our taluka incharges are leaders closely connected with people’s daily struggles. AAP believes real governance comes through public participation, not top-down decisions,” Palekar stated, adding that the party is committed to offering an honest alternative to the BJP’s “misrule.”
The new appointees include Sunil Signapurkar (Pernem), Shrikrishna Parab (Bicholim, Sattari), Rajesh Kalangutkar (Bardez), Vibhas Prabhudesai (Tiswadi), Sandesh Teleikar Dessai (Mormugao), Prof. Ramarao Wagh (Ponda), Gerson Gomes (Salcete), James Fernandes (Quepem, Dharbandora), Patricia Fernandes (Sanguem) and Prashant Naik (Canacona).
AAP Goa in-charge and former Delhi CM Atishi congratulated the newly appointed leaders and urged them to continue working at the grassroots.
