PANAJI: The Aam Aadmi Party has intensified preparations for the upcoming Zilla Panchayat elections with two back-to-back strategy meetings—one held in Velim with South Goa candidates and another in Panaji with North Goa candidates—focusing on booth-level planning, voter outreach and field feedback.
Senior leaders, including AAP Goa in-charge Atishi, State President Adv. Amit Palekar, MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas, MLA Engr. Cruz Silva, Working Presidents Valmiki Naik and Gerson Gomes, General Secretary Shrikrishna Parab and other office-bearers, guided candidates on campaign discipline and messaging.
State President Amit Palekar said the party’s early announcement of candidates has translated into strong momentum, noting that several candidates have already completed 100% door-to-door coverage in many villages.
MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas said voters are ready to hold the BJP accountable for what he described as failures in law and order, road infrastructure and basic healthcare, asserting that Goans will deliver their “verdict” in the ZP polls.
MLA Cruz Silva highlighted AAP’s model of service-driven politics, stating that the party has reached more than 20,000 families through free health camps “without being in power,” adding that such initiatives have earned public trust.
The meetings underscored the party’s focus on disciplined campaigning, meaningful voter engagement, strict adherence to the Model Code of Conduct and promotion of AAP’s local welfare initiatives.
