MARGAO: AAP MLA Venzy Viegas today reiterated the urgent need for a dialysis unit at South Goa as patients are suffering.
He visited the hospital today, during which a patient, who is on dialysis, said that there is an urgent need for the missing unit. The MLA assured to raise the issue in the House.
MLA Viegas today inspected the SDGH, wherein he found the ICU locked and no MRI facilities.
“I will raise this issue in the assembly today. People have to travel long distances to avail facilities,” said Venzy.
He also met a patient who said that dialysis facilities were not available and demanded an ICU facility at Sanvordem.
Venzy said that during the inspection, there was no generic pharmacy, no paediatrics OPD or neurology department at SDGH.
