AAP Goa desk-in-charge and Delhi MLA Atishi today informed that an official notification has been received from the Election Commision of India, recognising Aam Aadmi Party as a State Party in the State of Goa.
Congratulating the local leaders and volunteers for the recognition, Atishi said that the Goa unit was formed and has been active since the founding of the party itself in 2012.
“We are thankful to the people of Goa for supporting the honest politics of Arvind Kejriwal, and ensuring that the party’s performance improved in each subsequent election. We will continue to fulfil the responsibility given to us by the people, to save Goa’s identity, culture and environment.”, Atishi stated.
State President Adv. Amit Palekar welcomed the notification, and said that it was further motivation to work even harder for Goa.
“Goans have seen the good governance being enjoyed by people of Delhi and Punjab. Our two MLAs, Engr Cruz Silva of Velim and Capt. Venzy Viegas of Benaulim, also shone in the recently-concluded Assembly session. We will work hard to ensure that Goans give the responsibility of forming the next Govt in Goa to Aam Aadmi Party with a thumping majority”, Palekar stated.
It may be noted that the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP is only the third political party in the country to be recognised as a State party in three states, besides the Nitish Kumar-led JD (U) and H D Deve Gowda-led JD (S).
