PISSURLEM: The Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) ongoing #BJPCheBurak signature campaign drew a massive response in Pissurlem, where hundreds of residents signed a petition highlighting the poor condition of roads in the area. The party said the strong turnout reflected people’s frustration with Poriem MLA Deviya Rane, who had recently claimed that most roads in Sattari were in good condition. AAP leaders charged that the reality on the ground was completely different, with dug-up, pothole-ridden roads making daily commuting unsafe and unbearable for locals. “It seems Deviya Rane only visits her constituency before elections. Otherwise, how can she call these pothole-ridden roads ‘good’? The signatures of Pissurlem residents are proof that people are fed up with her fake promises and the BJP government’s failures,” AAP said in a statement. The #BJPCheBurak campaign, aimed at exposing BJP’s unfulfilled promises, has already covered constituencies including Sankhali, Bicholim, Priol, Thivim, Porvorim and Mayem. AAP said the campaign is gaining momentum across Goa and vowed to continue raising people’s issues. “This is just the beginning. Goans are rising against corruption, neglect, and leaders who remember them only during elections. People deserve strong, safe roads—not empty claims,” the party declared.
