PANAJI: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has approached the Bombay High Court challenging an order directing it to register an FIR in connection with alleged corruption charges.
The case stems from allegations made by former minister Pandurang Madkaikar.
Acting on the complaint, the Principal Sessions Court had instructed the ACB to file a First Information Report and initiate proceedings.
However, instead of registering the FIR, the Bureau has contested the Sessions Court’s directive before the High Court.
Kashinath Shetye informed that the matter has been listed for final hearing on March 23, 2026. Further developments are awaited following the High Court’s decision.
